Hybrid Vehicles are referred to as vehicles that use two distinct energy sources to produce a more efficient energy. The technology dates back to the early 18th century and was used in motorized bicycles. These motorized vehicles is basically the same as the standard bike, it uses human energy and motor to make the bicycle run faster. Another type is the series hybrid bicycle. This uses the electricity and pedal to run the motor. As the user pedals, the battery stores energy, which will then be used as a power source to run the motor. This concept is pretty simple, but has become one of the most effective alternatives to single energy source vehicles.

Although, the application was simple, experts were able to find better combinations of energy sources to power up a bigger vehicle. Among the larger hybrid vehicles is the power train. These trains use diesel fuel and electricity to run the engine. Depending on the mechanism, diesel could run the engine and as it runs out, electricity kicks in or the combination of both to achieve a single efficient energy.
