The Dawn Of Hybrid Vehicles
Almost everywhere when we try to look for a certain vehicle, we now see the word “hybrid” on it. It seems that this is the latest technology that car companies are raving about and are set to replace the gas powered vehicles in the near future. Although, when it comes to hybrid, cars are the first thing we can remember and that it was developed in the 20th century, but somehow we are wrong.
The hybrid power concept was developed in the early 1800s. Yes, it was way back then. It all started with those two wheeled motorized bicycles they call mopeds. If you could imagine running a bicycle, as you pedal, you use your own energy and then transmit it to the motor, which in turn will give you more torque. Another great example is the series hybrid bicycle. It uses human and electric energy. As you pedal it charges the motor, which will allow the bicycle to run chainless, unlike the conventional parallel hybrid type bicycles.
At this present, companies are switching to hybrid as a better alternative. Cars, power trains, ships, and aircrafts are now using this technology for what it promises. We can only see a better future and the development of a more efficient and sophisticated hybrid technology coming our way.
